Glyoxal is mixed with oxalic acid, dicarboxylic acid, etc. and coated on the surface of the metal to prevent rust. Glyoxal and glycine can be used as rust inhibitors for galvanized steel.

The formulation has high efficiency in removing inorganic deposits of different compositions and low levels of corrosion. The reagent contains the following proportions of components, wt%: 20-40 hydrochloric acid, 1-3 soluble corrosion inhibitors, 2-10 glyoxal, 0.5-2 glyoxylic acid, 0.5-2 glycolic acid, 0.5-2 glycolaldehyde , 0.01 defoamer, water – balance.

Due to the formation of the chelate complex compound, the specific composition of the organic acid is introduced so that the mineral deposit can be dissolved more effectively.

The use of a highly effective inhibitor is glyoxal, which allows the use of a more concentrated solution of hydrochloric acid in addition to the standard corrosion inhibitor, so that a significant increase in the dissolution capacity means that the requirements are met and the channel created will have a corrosive effect.
